What is GroomRest?

GroomRest is a patented grooming support stool designed to provide stable, secure support for dogs that cannot comfortably stand during grooming or bathing. 

Who is GroomRest designed for?

GroomRest is designed for dogs that need extra support during grooming or bathing, including dogs recovering from surgery, senior dogs, and dogs with mobility challenges. 

How does GroomRest work?

GroomRest is placed beneath your dog's body to help support the belly and hindquarters while the front and rear legs rest comfortably on each side safely touching the floor. This allows groomers and pet owners to provide grooming and bathing with added support. 

What size dogs can use GroomRest?

GroomRest is available in multiple sizes. Each stool features three adjustable height setting (7", 8", and 9") to help provide the best fit. If your dog needs a different size, custom orders are available.

How do I know which size to order?

Measure from the floor to the lowest point of your dog's belly while your dog is standing or being gently supported. Compare your measurement to our sizing guide on the product page. 

Can I order a custom size?

Yes. We offer custom sizing for dogs that require a different height or platform size. Visit our Custom Orders page for more information. 

What materials are available?

GroomRest is available in: Birchwood, Black HDPE, and White HDPE. Each version features the same patented design. 

What's the difference between Birchwood and HDPE?

Birchwood has a natural wood appearance with a clear coat finish and is ideal for dry grooming environments. It is water-resistant, but not water-proof.

HDPE is waterproof, easy to clean, and especially well-suited for grooming and bathing. 

Is GroomRest waterproof?

The Black HDPE and White HDPE models are waterproof and easy to clean. 

The Birchwood model is finished for durability but should not be left submerged in water. 

Can GroomRest be used in a bathtub?

Yes. The Black HDPE and White HDPE GroomRest models are waterproof and can be used in a bathtub during bathing. After use, simply rinse and dry as needed. 

The birchwood model is intended for dry grooming and should not be used in a bathtub submerged in water. 

How do I clean GroomRest?

The HDPE models can be wiped clean with mild soap and water or pet-safe disinfectants. The birchwood model should be cleaned with a damp cloth and dried after use. 

Is assembly required?

Yes, it requires some assembly. GroomRest ships with five preassembled adjustable legs that you need to insert into the leg brackets that are already assembled on the platform. It comes with mounting hardware, and easy-to-follow assembly instructions. 

Is GroomRest adjustable?

Yes. Each GroomRest features three adjustable height settings: 7", 8" and 9".

Is GroomRest safe for dogs recovering from surgery?

GroomRest is designed to provide support during grooming and bathing for dogs that have difficulty standing. If your dog is recovering from surgery, always follow your veterinarian's recommendations regarding activity and handling. 

Can Professional groomers use GroomRest?

Absolutely. GroomRest was designed for both professional groomers and pet owners. It can be used professionally and at home. 

Will GroomRest fit on my grooming table?

Yes. GroomRest is designed to be placed on most standard grooming tables, providing stable support for dogs that need extra assistance during grooming. 

Can GroomRest be used for nail trims?

Yes. GroomRest can provide stable body support during nail trims, brushing, coat maintenance, and bathing for dogs that need extra assistance. 

Does GroomRest fold for storage?

No. GroomRest features a fixed platform with removable adjustable legs for stability and durability.
